Contestants GENERAL Within the realm of the Most Creative Hand Dance Competition, qualified dancers will compete against their peers and fellow dancers to be recognized and win prize money for being the most creative dance couples in 2003. DANCE CRITERIA The criteria of the style of dance is (1) lead/follow dance style and the lead comes from the hand, (2) partner dancing (male/female), and (3) structured steps. DANCE STYLES The eligible dance styles are DC hand dance, Baltimore hand dancers, DC/MD/VA hand dancers, East and West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag, Philly Bop, Chicago Steppin, etc. AGE AND GEOGRAPHICAL REQUIREMENTS All contestants must be 21 years of age and a native of or live on the East Coast (Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC).
